I kept falling months behind on my case log. So I built Capnolog.
I'm a CA-1 in anesthesiology and a former neurosurgery resident. Capnolog is the case-logging app I needed in training and could not find.
The problem, from the inside
As a neurosurgery resident I was months behind on the ACGME Case Log. A Google Form, a spreadsheet, a notebook, and an Epic dot phrase each moved the backlog somewhere I could see it.
Capnolog logs the case in seconds, on the phone in your pocket, and counts it against your specialty's published minimums. You see the gap in November, not in your last months of training.
Who is building it
I have shipped iOS, Android, and web apps for years. One showed a search and rescue incident commander where every teammate was in real time.
Capnolog is one person's work, not a venture-funded team. The inbox at the bottom of this page reaches the person who writes the code.
The first commit was June 15, 2026. Apple Watch and Siri capture, once planned as headline features, were deleted.

How it is paid for
Logging and export are free. Premium requires an account, starts with a free trial, and then costs the price on the Premium card.
Capnolog carries no advertising and sells no personal information. Revenue comes from an optional Premium layer for residents and a paid console for programs.
